Worms + childhood malnourishment = anemia, impaired growth, intellectual delay or death. For suffering children, an intestinal worm infection can deplete 20-30% of total nutrition, and in Liberia where most people live on less than $1.25/day, malnourishment is commonplace. With no intervention, it’s rare that a severely malnourished child survives an infection.
Last year, Global Aid Partnership was able to treat 360,000 cases of intestinal worms in Liberia through a faith-based clinic in the capital city of Monrovia. Help us do more.
