Haiti Relief: Sponsor Shipping Containers

August 14, a massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti. Tragically, the death toll stands at 2000 and rising. Thousands of Haitians are critically injured, and even more are left without access to clean water, food and other essential supplies. Just before the quake, a major flour manufacturer donated enough 5-lb bags of flour to fill 4 large shipping containers. Each container costs $5600 to ship. Meanwhile, many Haitians have lost everything and are starting over from scratch. Our partner, Max Manning of Global Missions, is collecting emergency supplies, homewares and clothing.
A story of hope
YvRose Pierre-Alexandre is the mayor of the city of Jeremie, near the quake’s epicenter. She’s also a long-time ministry partner and founder of a large children’s home. Just before the tragedy, she felt strong guidance from the Lord to take her 60 children out to the country for a field trip. When the quake hit, they were safe! We praise God for His protection over these children and pray for wisdom for Mayor Pierre-Alexandre as she works to restore hope in her region.
