Get to know our partners at VC Children’s Home and School in Bvumbwe, Malawi. Many of the 125 children here were orphaned due to AIDS. They receive excellent care and education throughout college or trade school and learn to give back. The school also serves children from the surrounding village, offering highly prized, accelerated education for preschool through secondary school (high school) students. One successful former resident and student, after receiving his university degree, chose to move back to serve as the school’s principle. All children living at the home begin working in the fields after school when they are old enough. Here they learn agriculture while helping the school raise most of its own food supply.
